Who doesn't love cookies? I'm more of a brownie girl, but my better half @BilliamSWN is a cookie chooser. Here is his go to recipe for crumbly oatmeal cookie goodness. It's a simple four steps, so what's the harm in making a batch? Be sure to tweet us photos if you do!
Dry Ingredients:
1 Cup Shortening
1 + 1/2 Cup Sifted Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Sugar
1 Tsp Salt
3 Cups Oats
1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
(You could substitute this with either chopped nuts or raisins. The world is your oyster.)
Wet Ingredients:
2 Beaten Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
Preparations: Preheat oven to 350 F/Gas Mark 4.
[1] Cream together your shortening and sugar. Add in your beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
[2] Sift in all your remaining dry ingredients.
[3] Mix in your oats and chocolate chips.
[4] Bake for 10-12 minutes.
